Special one-day bus tour to explore four major flower fields in Taitung for just NT$399 per person

Every year during the transition between two rice harvest seasons, the Council of Agriculture coordinates seven farmers' associations from Hualien Guangfu to Taitung's Beinan to plant flower fields for visitors and locals to enjoy. In recent years, these fields have attracted thousands of tourists who come to admire the blooms. This year, the Taitung County Government has introduced special agricultural tour flower-viewing buses to make it easier for people to visit Taitung. There are four routes in total, which not only include flower viewing but also offer related experience and tasting activities. Taitung’s premium quality rice, island coffee, red oolong tea, navel oranges, along with the four major flower fields in Guanshan, Chishang, Chenggong, and Zhiben — all these highlights are included in the four themed routes of the agricultural tour buses. Everything from food and drinks to fun activities is covered for just NT$399 per person.

The first route, “Hot Springs, Flower Fields & Coffee Tasting,” includes a visit to the Zhiben Leshan Hot Spring Coffee Garden, a lunch at Dongyouji Tian Mama Flavor Restaurant, leisure time at the Zhiben Flower Field Recreational Area, and a DIY pottery session at Chulu Jiuniao Pottery Cultural Park. The second route, “Guanshan Flower Fields & Honey Aroma,” features a highland tea garden, a tea culture tour at Xinyuanchang Black Tea, a Guanshan boxed lunch, a visit to the Guanshan Flower Field Recreational Area, and fruit picking or windmill clock DIY at Youyou Qingshan Farm. The third route, “Chishang Flower Fields & Rice Waves,” takes visitors to Chulu’s coconut grove for bamboo tea, leaf-whistling and grass-weaving activities, a gratitude meal in a big bowl at Aguzu’s Pigsty, shared farming experiences and rice husk painting DIY, ending at the Chishang Flower Field Recreational Area. The fourth route, “Gazing at the Sea, Flowers & Tasting Fresh Fruit,” starts with orange picking and tasting in Beiyuan Orchard, a special boxed lunch by Chenggong Township Farmers’ Association, a visit to the Chenggong Meishan Flower Field Recreational Area, and making dolls during a fishing harbor trip.

 

Each route comes with a souvenir, a DIY gourmet experience, and visits to three excellent scenic spots. Tours are available with groups of 15 or more and depart daily.
