The Gold Ecological Park's Summer Creative Exchanger Experience Now Accepting Applications

New Taipei City’s Gold Ecological Museum “2013 Summer Search for Lohas Creative Exchangers” has started accepting applications from now until April 30. There are no restrictions on the type of creative work submitted for the summer selection, though projects that allow interaction with the public are preferred. Whether the creation is creative DIY, blogging, painting, design, lifestyle aesthetics, or other forms of Lohas creativity, all are welcome to apply to join the museum’s creative seed group. However, the use of fire in the creative process is strictly prohibited. Applicants may apply as individuals or in groups, with a maximum of two people per group. Selected creative exchangers will reside in the museum’s two connected Japanese-style dormitories from May 22, 2013, to August 30, 2013.

New Taipei City’s Gold Ecological Museum stated that since August last year, the museum first opened its newly renovated two connected Japanese-style dormitories under the concept of “exchanger experience,” allowing distinctive Lohas creative exchangers to stay. During the three sessions last year, a total of 20 individuals/groups of creative exchangers were hosted. Through arrangements by the museum, they engaged in dialogues with local artists, participated in local festivals, and joined various types of museum activities, allowing the exchangers to truly connect with Jinguashi and further transform their inspirations into creative works. This spring, a total of two groups, comprising 10 Lohas creative exchangers, stayed at the museum. In mid-March, events such as dance sessions with the public, static exhibitions, and sharing sessions were held. The entertaining performances and uniquely designed exhibits attracted nearly 4,000 participants.

 

The “2013 Summer Search for Lohas Creative Exchangers” residency program is now open for applications until 17:00 on April 30, 2013 (Year 102 in Taiwan). The selection results will be announced on the Gold Ecological Museum’s website on May 15. Application details can be found at: www.gep.ntpc.gov.tw.
