Vote now for the 2013 Tainan Food & Gift 3C Awards – Prizes Await You!

Tainan is a must-visit travel destination. Aside from its wealth of historic sites, it also boasts charming coastal scenery. Most importantly, it offers the greatest variety of food and local specialties in all of Taiwan, allowing visitors to not only enjoy the beautiful sights but also savor the authentic local delicacies such as danzai noodles, tofu pudding, squid porridge, and shrimp rolls... And if you still can't get enough, you can also purchase a range of local gifts like shrimp crackers, peanut candy, and saltwater pasta... making your trip even more memorable. The Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau has specially organized the "2013 Tainan Unique Traditional Food & Gift Product Voting Event." From now until May 14th, all food lovers are invited to cast their votes.

In the current voting standings, the top three traditional food items are danzai noodles, milkfish (porridge/balls/soup), and shrimp rolls, followed by coffin bread, stir-fried eel, oyster omelet, rice cake, mudskippers in soup, pan-fried pasta, and small squid rice noodles. For gift items, the top three are shrimp crackers, pineapple cakes, and peanut candy, followed by i* cake, sweet potato chips, milkfish chips, pudding, traditional pastries (Chinese pastries/meat pastries/red bean paste pastries), preserved fruits, and dried longan. As for beverages and frozen treats, the top three are almond tofu, mango shaved ice, and tofu pudding, followed by mung bean soup and plum juice.

 

To attract more participants to the voting event, the organizers have prepared numerous prizes for the draw. Both physical ballot voters and online voters are eligible to join. Prizes include 3C products such as HTC smartphones, ASUS tablets, cameras, and Blu-ray players. In addition, well-known hotel partners including Grand Formosa Regent Tainan, Taiwan Sugar Changrong Hotel, Far Eastern Shangri-La Hotel, Tainan Hotel, Kuei Tien Hotel, Tai Bang Business Travel, World Hotel, Cambridge Hotel, and Dynasty Hotel are also supporting the event by offering accommodations. This voting event runs from now until May 14th. Members of the public can vote at 66 physical locations across Tainan, including district offices, ???? towers, Confucius Temple, Anping Fort, Yizai Fortress, Qigu Salt Mountain, Wild West World, Jiangnan Resort, Tainan Railway Station, Xinying Railway Station, as well as highway service areas in Rende, Guanmiao, Dongshan, and Xinying, plus any of the tourism service centers operated by the Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau. Alternatively, you may vote online through the voting website.
