The biggest event in cross-strait travel selection, the "2013 Global Chinese Top 100 Travelers," kicks off

The "2013 Global Chinese Top 100 Travelers" selection, jointly launched online by Taiwan’s leading travel magazine TRAVELER Luxe旅人志 and China’s Lonely Planet (simplified Chinese edition), is now open for entries to select the best travel representatives of the year. The event is expected to award over a million dollars' worth of travel prizes, with the grand prize winner receiving a round-trip EVA Air ticket to Paris.

The "2013 Global Chinese Top 100 Travelers" is the most prestigious annual selection event in the travel industry, jointly created for the first time by Taiwan’s top travel magazine TRAVELER Luxe旅人志 and the internationally authoritative Lonely Planet (simplified Chinese edition). Under the theme of "The Beauty Seen by Travelers – A World-Class Perspective," the event selects 50 outstanding individuals from Taiwan and 50 from mainland China as the "2013 Global Chinese Top 100 Travelers" of the year through a rigorous three-stage process: online submissions, online voting, and jury selection.

 

This year’s selection is chaired by He Feipeng, CEO of Cite Publishing Group, and features internationally renowned graphic designer and Golden Melody Award winner for Best Album Design, Xiao Qingyang, as well as Phoenix Travel Chairman Zhang Jinming, who recently received France’s Tourism Gold Medal, Yunlang Tourism Group General Manager Sheng Zhiren, and CEO of Taiwan International Visual Arts Center (TIVAC) Quan Huahua. Together, they will judge the Taiwanese travel representatives from the most professional, authoritative, and impartial perspectives, before competing with the selected mainland travelers for the annual championship title.

 

Under the theme of "The Beauty Seen by Travelers – A World-Class Perspective," the "2013 Global Chinese Top 100 Travelers" selection showcases stunning travel photos taken by the travelers, paired with touching short essays, taking us on a visual journey to witness the most breathtaking and moving travel landscapes around the world. The grand prize winner will receive a round-trip EVA Air ticket to Paris, flying to one of the world’s best travel cities and reaching new heights of global travel.

 

In addition, the "2013 Global Chinese Top 100 Travelers" selection will also award annual travel prizes such as a $1,000 American Express Travelers Cheque and free 24-country European train tickets from FlyDaa Travel. The awards ceremony will be held on a larger scale at the "2013 Taipei International Travel Fair" in October this year, publicly honoring the annual "2013 Global Chinese Top 100 Travelers."
