The official website for the Yellow Rubber Duck exhibition in Kaohsiung goes live, revealing all the duck's movements

Recently, the hottest focus in southern Taiwan must be the Yellow Rubber Duck！ Designed by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, Asia’s largest Yellow Rubber Duck, standing at 18 meters tall, will make its appearance in Kaohsiung from September 19 to October 20 during this year’s Mid-Autumn holiday period, at the Glory Pier. The official website for the Taiwan debut of the Yellow Rubber Duck in Kaohsiung, established by the Kaohsiung City Government’s Information Bureau, has also officially gone live today, allowing duck fans to keep track of the duck’s whereabouts at any time.

The newly launched dedicated website for the Yellow Rubber Duck’s first Kaohsiung exhibition provides information on the exhibition introduction, latest news, transportation details, sightseeing and travel, merchandise, and event information. The public can learn about the creator, the duck’s journey around the world, understand the features of this exhibition, and also experience through press conference video footage the powerful magnetic presence created by the adorable yellow rubber duck brought by the creator and his family. The website also allows visitors to confirm the exhibition dates, locations, and how to get there, so both domestic and international tourists can start planning their trips to admire the duck in the harbor city during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Double Ten Day holiday, and weekends. The official website will also continue to release information on subsequent activities of the Yellow Rubber Duck and share related travel packages launched by Kaohsiung tourism businesses.

 

Lai Rui-long, Director of the Information Bureau, stated that the Yellow Rubber Duck conveys the spirit of love and peace and has traveled to 10 countries and 13 cities around the world. Mayor Chen Chu and the municipal government team have actively contacted Hofman since April this year, impressing him with Kaohsiung’s excellent conditions and sincerity. Starting from September 19, the Yellow Rubber Duck will take up residence in Kaohsiung, which will surely allow more people to get to know this beautiful and livable city with mountains, sea, river, and harbor.
