Top 10 Most Popular Hidden Gems in New Taipei for National Day Travel Unveiled

To uncover more great destinations, the “New Taipei Travelers” fan page launched by the New Taipei City Government Tourism Bureau held a “New Taipei Exclusive – Top 10 Most Popular Hidden Gems Voting Campaign.” The voting results were recently announced, with Sanzhi Qing Shan Road taking the top spot, followed by Tamsui Hobe Fort Park in second place.

The first-place winner, which received over ten thousand votes, is the perennially cherry blossom-blooming “Sanzhi Qing Shan Road.” Every spring, various species of cherry blossoms, including pale pink Taiwan cherries, double-flowered yaezakuras, and Yoshino cherries, bloom in succession, painting the area in shades of pink that leave a lasting impression on all who visit. The second-place “Tamsui Hobe Fort Park” not only features internationally renowned historical architecture but also boasts expansive lawns that are lesser known, making it a perfect spot for family leisure on holidays. Other top contenders include the “Wanli Jade Bay Happy Eight Sceneries,” frequently recommended by bloggers, and the retro mountain town “Ruifang Jiufen Jishan Street Shuqi Road,” beloved by foreign visitors, both ranking in the top five. The “Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf,” famous for its breathtaking sunsets and night views, is also highly popular. A contributing netizen described the scene of the Lover’s Bridge reflecting beautifully over the Tamsui River, accompanied by the refreshing sea breeze, as an ideal place to unwind. The “Wanli Yehliu Queen’s Head,” “Shimen Laomei Stone Troughs,” and other sites stood out for their unique landforms. Additionally, attractions such as the “Sanxia Manyueyuan Waterfall,” “Pingxi Sky Lanterns,” and “Wulai Indigenous Village” also made the top 10.

The most popular option is the NT$90 all-day unlimited ride pass, which allows you to explore at a low cost.
