The City of Light – Hakata
Around mid-November each year, the entire Fukuoka city area begins to fill with Christmas cheer. Whether it's the decorations at various locations or the jingling music you hear, they all herald the upcoming Christmas season. In the square in front of JR Hakata CITY, more than 700,000 LED bulbs are lit up, creating a night-time light party that envelops the whole area in a romantic atmosphere.
Blue Lights Christmas at Hyakunodai
When the trees in front of Fukuoka Tower twinkle with tiny blue lights at night, forming a sea of blue lights made up of about 100,000 decorations, it officially marks the beginning of Fukuoka’s winter Christmas celebrations. The illuminated Christmas tree pattern created with electric lights in front of Fukuoka Tower makes the surrounding glass walls of the tower shine brilliantly. The red lights in front of Fukuoka Tower stand out even more against the backdrop of the blue light path. Additionally, a massive approximately 108-meter-high Christmas tree is set up in front of the tower, attracting many visitors to stop and take photos. The entire Fukuoka area is filled with an unparalleled sense of happiness.
