Double the travel deals across Taiwan

The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has joined forces with local governments nationwide to launch the "Taiwan Travel & Shop: I’m the Best Traveler" campaign. Over 10,000 businesses in the areas of food, lodging, tours, shopping, and transportation have been integrated to provide a variety of themed travel deals. These include discounts for using the Taiwan Travel Passport, lucky draws, special offers at participating shops, gifts for check-ins when reaching spending thresholds, and stamp-collecting discounts at hotels. These deals offer travelers great value while helping them cope with rising costs.

Among the 22 participating counties and cities, Yilan County is hosting the "2013 Ageless Festival" specially designed for seniors, while Keelung City offers the "Ji Long Treasure Hunt Keelung Travel Passport" for discounts at participating stores. Taipei City’s "Taipei Hot Spring Festival" provides discounts with the event brochure, and New Taipei City’s "New Taipei LET’S GO" features a car giveaway through lucky draws. Taoyuan County presents "Chiang’s Good Fortune," featuring 90% discounts at selected popular stores in Taoyuan. Hsinchu City offers the "Strolling Through the Windy City – Lighting the Heart" Zhudong-themed meal experience, and Hsinchu County’s "Taiwan Good Line – Shishan Route" includes discounted tickets to Green World Ecological Farm and Liu Xingqin Comic Museum. Miaoli County runs the "Miaoli Nanzhuang Food, Lodging, Tours, Shopping & Travel" promotion with gifts for check-ins after reaching spending milestones. Taichung City’s "Xinshe Flower Sea" offers deals on agricultural specialty products and souvenirs. Changhua County’s "Sunny Changhua Travel Card" gives various discounts or perks at partner shops.

 

Additionally, Nantou County issues the "Nantou Travel Passport" with up to NT$30,000 in on-site discounts for exploring the area. Yunlin County’s "Taiwan Good Line – Yunlin Beigang Blessing Route" offers up to 46% off on experience routes. Chiayi City features the "Forest Corridor Cypress Exploration" forest cultural and creative tourism. Chiayi County’s "Journey(Jiouni) to Chiayi" combines the Alishan Sunrise Impression Concert with hotel stamp-collecting discounts. Tainan City’s "Tainan Cuisine, Fashion, and Real Spring" lets visitors experience life in the historic Taiwan Prefecture City. Kaohsiung City offers discounted "Visit Jiaxian with Ease, Pull a River" themed itineraries. Pingtung County’s "Wan You Pingtung" features lucky draws with lots of prizes. Hualien County offers the "Fortune Comes with Stones, Happy New Year" hot spring shuttle package. Taitung County provides accommodation discounts under "Enjoy Autumn in Taitung," and Kinmen County features the "Happy & Fun Travel Plan" for a delightful adventure.
