【Art Appreciation on Thursdays】Pier-2 "Very Disco" Explores New Relationships Between Human Society and Environmental Ecology

Environmental changes often lead to various natural disasters and other natural risks, while man-made life risks stemming from technological and civilizational development—such as nuclear crises, oil spills, and urban development—also have an unimaginable impact on the environment and ecology of human society. This exhibition invites 20 artists from across northern, central, southern, and eastern Taiwan as well as abroad who have long been concerned about environmental issues. They explore through three thematic sections: “Very Ecology vs. Real Responses,” “Tales of Nature,” and “Local Environments.” With 60 pieces including spatial installations, photography, and graphic paintings, the exhibition reshapes new thinking about human society and environmental ecology through the lens and interpretation of art.
