Nantou Five-Star Bathroom Camping Site – The “Sky Castle” with a Mysterious Legend

The night sky and earth spin through the lens. My camping world, with a wide aperture, tries to find little asteroids drifting in the mysterious cosmos. Just close your eyes and listen in silence. That 30-second shutter rhythm holds sweet secrets between you and me on this night.

Let’s first take a look at the VIP area at the very top:

Access the VIP area from the right side of the castle (moderate slope, fairly easy to drive)

The grass is hard to maintain in winter (but the surface is fairly even)

Coarse sand has been laid down for maintenance, making it less muddy on rainy days

Kitchen sinks are placed behind the campsites, not affecting the view

On the other side, you can enjoy the sea of clouds and crystal light over Nantou’s Caotun

The view from this VIP campsite is indeed the best and most diverse in the area.

The panoramic scenery presented at night at the campsite is also particularly unique.

The bottom section of the staircase leads down to the shared bathroom and toilet area of the third-floor Mystery House.

Now let’s take a look at the campsite on the lower right side (facing Yuchi Township direction):

This section of the lower campsite has a great view and offers a glimpse of Puli Town.

The grass has just been planted, forming a flat lawn.

The facilities are quite good for camping both upstairs and downstairs, and vehicles can access the site.

Taken toward the bathroom direction, the end section of this area is quite close to the toilet.

The width of the campsites in this area is about ten-plus meters, and even a 5x8 tarp looks just average in size.

When the disc-shaped tarp is fully unfolded, you can really see how spacious this campsite is.

This time, when our plan to go camping and enjoy the plum blossoms in Xinyi Township with friends fell through due to last-minute cancellations, we happened to pass by this newly opened but not yet operational campsite.

Moreover, we witnessed a breathtaking sight we had never seen before — surging sea-like clouds engulfing the campsite.

Camping amidst the mist is also the perfect moment to chat with old friends.

We ended up talking about past camping experiences, and looking back, it was incredibly fun.

On Saturday noon, when we were urgently looking for a campsite, we had the luck to find such an amazing one.

We also thank our Facebook friend from Kaohsiung.Lei Meng for helping us with the reservation.

Taking advantage of the clearing mist, we captured the only nighttime photo from this camping area.

The newly built bathroom and toilet area near the entrance; there are also campsites in this section that are not yet completed.

Now let’s take a look at the campsites facing the Grass Mountain (Caotun) scenic direction.

This is the largest block in the campsite (camping is allowed on both sides, with empty spaces in between).

Waterproof power outlets are all located nearby, making electricity very convenient.

The end section is a bit smaller, but even for a single tent, the width is quite spacious.

If photographed from this direction, with tents set up, it would definitely be stunning, wouldn’t it?

Once the lawn is properly maintained, it will surely be a fantastic campsite.

The second floor of the castle is built entirely from stacked natural stones, a labor-intensive and time-consuming process
