During the Mid-Autumn Festival, a surge of travelers return home by train. To accommodate the passenger flow during the 103rd Mid-Autumn Festival, Taiwan Railways has added a total of 185 train services across all classes during the Mid-Autumn holiday period (September 6–9), and has scheduledTickets for trains from August 22 (Friday) at 00:00 to September 9 (a total of 19 days) will be available for online booking, convenience store purchase, and phone reservation starting at midnight on August 22.

※ Additionally, due to the massive volume of ticket reservations on the first day (August 22), in order to maintain data transmission speed and avoid impacting passengers’ waiting time for ticket reservations, the following two measures will be implemented:

First, the Taiwan Railways reservation website will temporarily disable the “remaining ticket inquiry” functionfrom 00:00 to 01:00 on August 22, 103.After completing your reservation on August 22, please pick up your tickets at the station, post office, or one of the four major convenience stores 30 minutes later (during their operating hours) to save waiting time.

Second, starting August 15, Taiwan Railways will implement a six-month suspension for users who have three or more instances of reservation-without-pickup within a three-month period. This measure aims to encourage passengers to purchase tickets within the designated period or cancel their reservations within the time limit, in order to protect the rights of subsequent ticket bookers and make it easier for those who need to travel to secure tickets.
