Booking Website’s Dream Celebrity Travel Companion Survey: Taiwanese Flock to Lin Yi-chen and Takeshi Kaneshiro

Today is Valentine’s Day, but whether you have a partner or not, you can still indulge in some romantic daydreaming. The accommodation service website Hotels.com conducted a survey among locals on “which male or female celebrity they would most like to travel with,” and the results crowned Lin Yi-chen and Takeshi Kaneshiro as the top dream travel companions.

When asked about their dream travel itinerary, 47% of locals said they would most like to enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner with their celebrity travel companion, 38% said they’d love to take crazy selfies with their favorite celebrity, and 31% would like to check into a five-star hotel with their preferred star. As for the most dreamed-about travel destinations to visit with a celebrity companion, Paris came in first (32%), followed by Tokyo (30%) and New York (23%).

Known as the “zero-controversy goddess,” Lin Yi-chen topped the list of female celebrities that locals would most like to travel with, winning 40% of the vote. Graceful actress Chang Chun-ning (31%) and Kim Go-eun, who gained immense popularity for her role in (21%), were also among the top choices for an ideal holiday companion.

As for the male celebrities that locals would most like to travel with, heartthrob Takeshi Kaneshiro claimed the top spot (33%). Eddie Peng and Korean actor Song Joong-ki came in second and third with 25% and 20% respectively. Interestingly, acclaimed director Ang Lee (16%) beat out other young heartthrobs to claim fifth place on the list of dream celebrity travel companions.
