A Must-Visit for Photography Enthusiasts: Hong Kong’s First Photography Museum Grandly Opens

Photography enthusiasts, take note: Hong Kong’s first photography museum, F11, grandly opened in September. The founder, Andrew Suen Cheung-tak, is a former executive director and legal advisor of a major charitable organization in Hong Kong. With a passion for both photography and heritage preservation, he has been collecting cameras, photographs, and photography books for 15 years. He transformed a third-grade historic building—originally a residence with Art Deco features—into a top-tier photography museum.

The museum’s ground and first floors will be used for exhibitions, while the second floor houses a private museum dedicated to Leica cameras. It showcases a large collection of various models of Leica cameras and experimental versions, along with over a thousand photography books from the internationally renowned photo agency Magnum. These include many signed first editions and precious drafts.
