Halloween is just around the corner, and various locations are gearing up with spooky-themed events to create an October-exclusive atmosphere of fun and frights.The sixth annual "What’s Up, Tamsui? Halloween Carnival" will kick off a three-day event from October 24 to 26.The event will center around Taiwan’s folk belief in “Official Generals,” featuring five terrifying, grim-faced generals who will engage in a face-off against Western ghosts on Tamsui’s streets. In addition, 200 shops in the Tamsui shopping district will hang up pumpkin lanterns, offering free candy and trick-or-treating for kids. On October 25 at Tamsui Sports Park, there will be dance performances by Tamsui Tofu Man and Tatung Baby, as well as a Coca-Cola fun zone, a witch fortune-telling area, and the Bébé D’Or secret market serving spooky secret dishes like Lightning Teletubbies and Night Phantoms. Special discounted half-day and full-day tours of the Tamsui shopping district will also be available. Everyone is welcome to gather friends and family to join in the fun.

This year, to help more people discover the unique shops in the Tamsui shopping district, a discount map has been issued in collaboration with 20 specialty stores. Additionally, special partnerships with EasyCard Travel, Taiwan Da Travel, and Garmin have been formed for both domestic and mainland Chinese tourists. Alongside the sixth "What’s Up, Tamsui? Halloween" event, a limited-time half-day tour of the Tamsui shopping district originally priced at NT$999 is now available for just NT$399. The tour aims to boost business in the district’s hidden alleys while helping visitors discover unique shops. The itinerary includes DIY activities, shop visits, and delicious culinary experiences, ranging from special attractions to cultural feasts, along with nearby district highlights and guided tours—offering food, fun, and surprises.

In addition, E-Da Theme Park and Leofoo Village Theme Park are also seizing the Halloween business opportunity by offering a series of events and discounts to attract visitors.
