The social messaging app LINE, deeply integrated into daily life, has demonstrated immense popularity through exhibitions and summer pop-up stores. In autumn 2014, Taiwan’s very first LINE FRIENDS flagship store opened at Breeze Songgao, with soft openings on October 18 and 19, and an official grand opening on October 24.

Even before the official opening, the LINE FRIENDS decorations on the exterior of the Breeze Songgao store in Xinyi District had become a hot topic. The Breeze Songgao store is Taiwan’s first long-term LINE FRIENDS flagship store. During the soft opening period, there were fewer entrances and exits, with access via the entrance next to Champs-Élysées Plaza. The official opening also features promotions such as gifts with purchase, welcome gifts, and lucky draws, along with exclusive sales of LINE Rangers merchandise. The opening event period runs from October 24 to November 5.

To coincide with the flagship store’s soft opening, the Story House – MY LINE STORY event was also held on Champs-Élysées Boulevard. Visitors could queue to enter the story house, write about which family member or friend they most often use LINE with, take a Polaroid photo, and participate in a lucky wheel game. Those who completed the Story House activity received a shopping coupon for the flagship store, and LINE cartoon characters also made special appearances to meet fans on-site.
