Taipei 101’s New Year fireworks have become one of the world’s most renowned events. Over the past decade, they’ve successfully drawn both domestic and international crowds, leading Taipei to be ranked the sixth most desired New Year’s destination in the world by popular travel site Agoda this year, surpassing New York and Paris — a source of pride and a proud chapter for Taiwan. With an increasing number of international tourists and local visitors coming during the New Year period, Taipei 101 has introduced not only its spectacular fireworks show this year but also a series of exciting New Year activities. These artful, fashionable, and fun experiences enrich the holiday in many dimensions, making every minute of the countdown truly memorable.

From now until March 8, Taipei 101 presents the “Flying Sheep of Taiwan Welcoming the New Year” public art exhibition, involving 10 brands in the creation process and inviting three emerging Taiwanese designers to design a total of 101 sheep. Each sheep is uniquely placed around the Taipei 101 complex. Paired with large-scale lighting displays, the building dons a fresh look, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that ushers in a fresh new vibe for the new year.
