A stunning sea of cherry blossoms right at the alleyway — a new free night-blooming cherry blossom spot in Neihu, Taipei

The cherry blossom path in Neihu’s Lohas Park in Taipei City has also gradually come into full bloom after the Lantern Festival. Recently, the Taipei City Government’s Department of Rapid Transit Systems and Parks installed 32 specially designed street lamps along the path, creating a brand-new night cherry blossom attraction where locals can enjoy the blossoms glowing even more beautifully as night falls, right from their doorstep.

As cherry blossom season arrives, blooms are popping up all over Taiwan. The cherry blossom path in Neihu’s Lohas Park in Taipei City has also gradually come into full bloom after the Lantern Festival. Recently, the Taipei City Government’s Department of Rapid Transit Systems and Parks installed 32 specially designed street lamps along the path, creating a brand-new night cherry blossom attraction where locals can enjoy the blossoms glowing even more beautifully as night falls, right from their doorstep.

The department stated that in order to provide bright lighting for nighttime cherry blossom viewing, they specially installed energy-efficient LED street lamps in the cherry blossom grove of Lohas Park. Under the illumination, the cherry blossoms resemble strings of fireworks, appearing even more vibrant at night and attracting many photography enthusiasts. They recommend entering the cherry blossom path from Kangle Street and shooting from upstream along Neigou Creek for the best angle — you can capture both the blossoms and the flower-lined path. He added that to balance the nighttime tranquility for nearby residents, the lamps are lit from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM to avoid disturbing the surrounding living environment, while also achieving the goals of energy conservation, carbon reduction, and protecting green spaces. The public is encouraged to cooperate.

While enjoying the beautiful scenery, the department also calls on the public to respect every plant in nature, avoiding walking on the grass or picking flowers at will, so that the beauty can be shared by more people.
