The world’s most beautiful Tsutaya Bookstore has sparked a craze in Japan and Taiwan, with its hybrid reading space becoming the latest travel landmark. Located on the sixth floor of Bangkok’s luxury department store Central Embassy, it also features a hybrid reading space called “Open House,” designed by the team behind the Tokyo Tsutaya Bookstore. The stunning space and decor embody the concept of an urban oasis.

Open House is a two-story open-plan space that includes not only floor-to-ceiling bookshelves but also eight cross-disciplinary venues such as a restaurant, bar, art gallery, café, and co-working space, catering to diverse needs so visitors can easily spend the whole day here without getting bored.

The mall offers expansive views, and its design is highly avant-garde, featuring elements such as a wooden relief tower and a white giant tower planter that blend greenery with fashion. The two-story-high bookshelf houses over 20,000 books and magazines, while the white mega tower beneath the atrium holds a hidden surprise—an intimate art exhibition space inside, with display shelves wrapping around its exterior.
