Following the establishment of Chun Shui Tang and Wei Re Shan Gao in Japan, ICE MONSTER—a mango ice favorite among Japanese tourists in Taiwan—also grandly opened on April 29, 2015, in Tokyo’s lively Omotesando district.
 

On the opening day, over a thousand people queued up, with the first 300 customers eligible for a complimentary ICE MONSTER ice cream as part of the launch promotion. However, the numbered tickets were all claimed early. Since the store’s unveiling in Omotesando, it has generated buzz and marketing exposure, leading to massive queues on opening day. The appearance of Hello Kitty at the event further boosted its popularity and appeal.

 

Taiwanese bubble tea drinks have become quite popular in Japan in recent years. For this collaboration with Japanese partners, ICE MONSTER also aimed to highlight bubble tea-flavored ice treats, but its signature mango ice remains the most sought-after. Prices are set at 1,500 yen (approx. NT$380) for the “Mango Cotton Snow,” 1,000 yen (approx. NT$255) for the “Bubble Tea Cotton Snow,” and 1,200 yen for the Japan-exclusive “Oolong Tea Cotton Snow.” The seasonal summer limited edition “Pineapple Cotton Snow” is priced the same as the mango ice at 1,500 yen. Other flavors include coffee and strawberry, bringing the total to six ice treats plus two ice cream options—the Mango Splash and Strawberry Splash (both 500 yen)—which have captivated Japanese consumers.
