The 2015 Taipei International Travel Expo was held from May 22 to 25 at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1, featuring participation from 450 exhibitors and as many as 1,200 booths this year, including tourism boards, travel agencies, domestic and international hotels, and catering businesses. Many booths took advantage of the upcoming summer vacation to launch exclusive travel fair discounts, aiming to help everyone have an amazing summer of travel!

Another major highlight was the Korea Pavilion inviting popular Korean star Cha Seung-won to appear, hosting the “Korean Cultural Experience with Cha Seung-won” event to interact with visitors through a fun game of telepathy. Correct answers allowed participants to take photos with Cha Seung-won and receive a Polaroid photo. Additionally, Cha Seung-won personally prepared and shared Korean bibimbap on-site—participants who answered quiz questions correctly could enjoy bibimbap directly served by him. The Korea Tourism Organization’s “Korean Cultural Experience with Cha Seung-won” will be held at 3:30 PM on May 23!

In addition, this edition of the travel expo featured five major exhibition zones: the Overseas Travel Zone, Branded Hotels Zone, Explore Taiwan Zone, Local Government Zone, and Cross-Strait Tourism Zone. It introduced a range of exclusive travel fair promotions, with notable deals including “Tigerair Macau Free & Easy 4-Day Trip for 4 – Buy Flight, Get Hotel Free” from Wufu Travel, starting at NT$888 (tax excluded), and EVA Air’s promotions for Okinawa (4 days), Bangkok (5 days), and Seoul (3 days), all available during the expo at a special price of NT$5,999 (tax excluded) and up. The organizers also prepared 45 plane tickets with a total prize value of NT$3.6 million.
