Tainan’s Baihe annual flower-viewing event, the “Baihe Lotus Season,” kicks off on June 7. The Tainan City Transportation Bureau has also launched a lotus-viewing bus to make it more convenient for visitors to enjoy the blossoms!

The Baihe Transfer Station is an important transit hub in the region, connecting key Taiwanese attractions such as Guanziling and the coffee culture of Dongshan. The Baihe Transfer Station was officially completed and opened on May 22. Its main structure consists of the transfer station building and bus lanes. The transfer station building features a design inspired by the yellow line of the Greater Tainan Bus system, with a bright and lively yellow-and-white exterior. The use of floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows makes the waiting area bright and comfortable. The interior space is designed with lotus-themed waiting chairs that are both aesthetically pleasing and practical, reflecting the local lotus characteristics of Baihe. The thoughtfully planned entry and exit lanes not only help ease local traffic but also make boarding and alighting more convenient for passengers.

In addition, the station is equipped with a range of advanced and user-friendly facilities, such as electronic information displays for clearer boarding information, as well as barrier-free restrooms, nursing rooms, water dispensers, free lockers, phone and wheelchair charging stations, free Wi-Fi, and automated external defibrillators (AEDs), providing passengers with a more comfortable and convenient waiting environment.

Take the “Lotus-Viewing Bus” to Baihe for a light trip around Tainan and get ready for the annual Baihe Lotus Season. With an electronic ticket, rides on the lotus-viewing bus are free (within 8 kilometers, rides are free with an electronic ticket). Enjoy the vibrant lotus blossoms along the way, embrace a slow-paced journey, and after getting off, savor a refreshing and cooling lotus root tea—without the hassle of finding parking.
