Starbucks and Disney have collaborated across industries, bringing unique coffee shops to multiple Disney parks. Unfortunately, there are no colorful, dreamy coffee cups or castles here—just expansive, green, and comfortable spaces where adults can relax and recharge after a fun-filled day.

The Starbucks at Disneyland doesn’t feature dreamy castles or have adorable Disney characters as baristas. Instead, it focuses on a more mature clientele, including parents who also need a break. Inspired by California patios and cozy balcony dinners, the Starbucks at Disneyland aims to provide a tranquil and comfortable sanctuary where guests seeking relaxation can truly unwind.

The outdoor area of the Disneyland branch is spacious, accommodating about 100 seats, and is located right behind the Disneyland Hotel. To create a store with a consistent style, the design team invited fifty designers to collaborate on the project. They aimed to craft a single-story, poolside-style architectural look—similar to that of mid-century designers Joseph Eichler, Rudolph Schindler, and Richard Neutra (which was also one of the most popular styles in California at the time). The design features large floor-to-ceiling windows that let in abundant sunlight, along with extensive use of glass and concrete materials, emphasizing a strong horizontal aesthetic.
