Hot Air Balloon Carnival Kicks Off: Five Transportation Options for Easy Access Without a Car

The 2015 Taitung Hot Air Balloon Carnival officially runs from June 27 to August 9. To make it more convenient for visitors from all over to join the event, here are five transportation options to the venue for your reference. Additionally, on June 27, when the Luye Plateau Opening Light and Sound Music Concert takes place, the Taitung County Government has specially arranged shuttle buses departing from Luye Train Station to the Luye Plateau event venue. We encourage you to take public transport to the venue as much as possible.

● By Train
Visitors can take a train to “Luye Train Station,” then transfer to the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle – Valley & Luye Line” bus to reach the “Luye Plateau” event venue.
* Location of the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Valley & Luye Line [Luye Train Station] bus stop: After exiting Luye Train Station, walk straight along Zhongzheng Road for about three minutes to reach it.
 
● By Bus
Bus services in the Luye area are mainly operated by Dingdong Bus Mountain Line and the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle – Valley & Luye Line,” but only the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle – Valley & Luye Line” goes directly to the Luye Plateau venue.
