A major explosion occurred around the famous Erawan Shrine (Four-Faced Buddha), a popular tourist site in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, on the evening of August 17. The incident has drawn global media attention, with over 19 deaths and more than 120 injuries reported so far.

Due to the Erawan Shrine's reputation for being highly efficacious, it attracts numerous devotees from both domestic and international backgrounds for pilgrimage and vow fulfillment, making it one of the most densely visited tourist sites by foreigners in Bangkok. The explosion happened during peak traffic hours, resulting in a large number of casualties, including five injured Taiwanese tourists. Currently, various parties in Thailand speculate that this bomb attack was primarily targeting tourists, attempting to strike at Thailand's tourism industry. In response, Thailand has specifically released 13 dangerous areas, most of which are crowded locations. Tourists currently in Thailand or planning to visit should pay special attention.

1. The area around MBK Center.
2. The Siam shopping district, including well-known department stores such as Siam Discovery, Siam Center, Siam Paragon, and Siam Square One.3. The northern section of Ratchaprasong Road, with CentralWorld Plaza on the west side and the Big C supermarket on the east side.
4. The Sukhumvit/Asoke shopping district, extending from BTS Nana Station all the way to the red-light district Soi Cowboy. Additionally, the Asoke area is filled with office buildings, becoming very crowded during commuting hours.
5. The area around Khao San Road.
6. The Silom Road shopping district, a business area during the day and a night market at night, especially the Patpong red-light district located here, frequented by many foreign tourists and businesspeople.
7. The EM shopping district, including Emporium, EmQuartier, and Benjasiri Park.
8. The area around Victory Monument, a local transportation hub where many locals and tourists take minibuses.
9. The intersection of Thong Lor Road.
10. The Thong Lor/Ekkamai nightlife district.
11. Narathiwat Road, referring to the area from BTS Chong Nonsi Station to Sathorn Road, one of Thailand's commercial hubs, with many office workers.
12. The Ekkamai area. This area has bus stations for eastern routes and department stores.
