Become a Bowl Edge Character (碗缘子)! A giant bowl and plate installation becomes a new Lunar New Year photo hotspot

As the Lunar New Year approaches, many festive decorations have been unveiled one after another. The well-known department store Taihua Luxury City always creates various fun decorations to match each holiday. Following the snow-themed mall during Christmas, this time it has recreated a “Taihua Chinatown” to celebrate the Lunar New Year. The giant bowls and plates resemble a traditional “banquet table setup,” becoming the latest hot topic for photos.

To welcome the Spring Festival holiday, Taihua Luxury City has set up a large-scale “Taihua Chinatown” decoration in the plaza. It features festive red lanterns and oversized spring couplets with the character “Fu” (good fortune). In the first plaza of the mall, there’s also a massive 10-meter-tall “Reunion Banquet Table” art installation. Not only does it replicate delicious Lunar New Year dishes, but it also includes 10 sets of giant “Lucky Bowl and Plate Sets,” allowing visitors to become “Bowl Edge Characters” and become the focus of their photos.

In addition, the second plaza of Taihua Luxury City has been transformed into “Dream Land Pink Lawn,” covered not only with dreamy, colorful macarons but also featuring a giant “Peach-Pink Statue of Liberty.” The juxtaposition of the exotic-looking Statue of Liberty with the traditional festive atmosphere creates a playful and amusing contrast. When lit up at night, the plaza becomes even more enchanting, making it another popular spot for photos.
