The world’s first GUCCI restaurant opens in Shanghai!

The renowned luxury brand GUCCI has made a cross-industry debut in Shanghai with the world’s first brand restaurant, “1921 GUCCI,” which officially commenced operations on the 22nd. The opening caused a sensation, attracting numerous guests and creating long queues.

1921 GUCCI is located in Shanghai’s IAPM Mall and took two years to build. To access the restaurant, diners can only take the dedicated elevator from the GUCCI store within the mall. Although GUCCI has previously opened cafes in Italy, Japan, and South Korea, 1921 GUCCI is the brand’s first restaurant-format outlet.

The restaurant space continues GUCCI’s signature understated luxury style, featuring solid wood décor paired with dark gold dining tables and velvet chairs. The tableware has been carefully selected, using the Japanese-style GUCCI Ginza line. In addition, the menu primarily offers Italian cuisine, and in keeping with the cafe concept, the venue also provides desserts, coffee, and afternoon tea options. Lunch and dinner prices are approximately NT$750 and NT$1,500 per person, respectively.
