Starting as early as 2016, some attractions in three major national parks — Kenting, Yangmingshan, and Kinmen — will begin charging admission fees. According to the "Approved Report on the Medium-Term Plan of National Parks by the Ministry of the Interior," these three parks will be the first phase of national parks to implement such fees, with Taroko and Shoushan Nature Park also being considered for future inclusion.

● Kenting National Park
In addition to setting admission fees for Kenting National Park, the Ministry of the Interior also requires organizers of large-scale music festivals such as Spring Scream to pay venue fees. Furthermore, operators applying to run semi-submersible or glass-bottomed sightseeing boats will also be subject to water quality monitoring fees.
→ Cat’s Head Park: NT$30 per person.
→ Night diving or night sailing application: NT$300 per session.
→ Outdoor education program application in Kenting: NT$2,000 per session.
→ Spring Scream Music Festival event in Kenting: NT$520,000 for venue use.

→ Glass-bottomed boat and other marine recreational activities: NT$20,000 water quality monitoring fee per vessel.

● Yangmingshan National Park
Starting in 2016, fees will first be applied to environmental education camp programs, at NT$300 per year with a limit of 20 participants per session. Applications for elementary school field trips, however, will remain free of charge for the time being.
→ Additionally, starting in 2018, some attractions in Yangmingshan will begin charging admission fees.
→ Closed sites such as Tianxi Garden: NT$100 per person, with one session each in the morning and afternoon, and a maximum of 30 people per session.
→ Open sites such as Xiaoyoukeng, Qingtian Gang, Datun, Erziping, and Lengshuiping will adopt a combined person-and-vehicle fee (NT$3,000 for large buses, NT$1,500 for medium buses, NT$300 for small cars).

→ Lengshuiping Hot Spring Bathhouse and Ecological Reserve: NT$100 usage and permit fee.
