The annual Tainan Kanzanli Hot Spring Food Festival has officially kicked off. This year, Kanzanli is hosting a series of exciting events themed around hot spring cuisine and Japanese nostalgia. In addition to soaking in the springs, the festival also connects the regions of Baihe, Dongshan, and Houpi to promote regional tourism, inviting everyone to come and enjoy the hot springs, delicious food, and beautiful scenery.

In Japanese hot spring culture, wearing a yukata is an essential feature of the hot spring experience.This year, the Kanzanli Hot Spring Food Festival has specially incorporated the yukata element into the hot spring area. Over 50 sets of yukatas are available for visitors to wear and take photos. Chung Hua University, Kanzanli hot spring operators, and UNIQLO have also exclusively provided lightweight yukatas for everyone to try out this experience.

This year’s Kanzanli Hot Spring Food Festival has two major highlights: “My Kanzanli Cooking Kitchen,” which uses unique local ingredients from Kanzanli to create high-quality and refined hot spring cuisine, and the “Yukata Fireworks Carnival,” which offers visitors a chance to experience the century-old Japanese charm of Kanzanli through special yukatas.The event runs from September 19 to October 25.A variety of activities will be held throughout the event period, including cooking competitions, tasting sessions, yukata experiences, nostalgic markets, fireworks parties, local tours, guided walks, and more. Everyone is invited to come to Kanzanli and enjoy diverse hot spring cuisine as well as Taiwan’s only mud hot spring.
