Taiwan's pride: Taoyuan Airport ranked among the world's best

The international travel website "Sleeping in Airports" recently announced its 2015 online survey rankings, with Taoyuan International Airport making a major jump to rank 4th in the world’s best airports in 2015, 4th in Asia’s best airports in 2015, and 10th in the world’s best sleep-friendly airports.

Users commented that during long and boring layovers, Taoyuan Airport provides a relaxing and comfortable environment. In addition to free Wi-Fi, travelers can also explore cultural exhibitions to pass the time. One of the most memorable features of Taoyuan Airport is its “themed lounges,” including themes such as Hello Kitty, Taiwanese tea, Taiwanese music “pleasure,” and movies, all of which leave a deep impression.

The Sleeping in Airports website invites international travelers to rate their airport experiences every year. Each voter can only cast one vote per airport, with no limit on the number of airports voted on. The 2015 survey ran from September 2, 2014, to September 7, 2015, and collected 26,297 valid responses. The evaluation criteria included overall airport experience, terminal cleanliness, facilities, customer service, comfort, and sleep-friendliness.
