The world's largest MUJI flagship store opens to huge crowds with long queues forming

Claimed to be the world's largest MUJI Uniqlo flagship store, it opened on December 12th on Huaihai Road in Shanghai. On the first day of opening, it attracted queues stretching over a hundred meters, with people waiting over 80 minutes just to get inside, demonstrating just how popular it is.

The newly opened MUJI Shanghai flagship store is located on the bustling Huaihai Road in Shanghai, covering an area of 3,438 square meters. It is claimed to be the largest flagship store in all of China. All kinds of products can be found here, including Shanghai’s first-ever Café&Meal MUJI, as well as the first entry into China of MUJI’s bookstore brand, MUJI BOOKS. The store offers books across six major themes: clothing, food, housing, transportation, education, and entertainment. In addition, there’s also an interactive space called Open MUJI where customers can engage and connect, as well as Re-MUJI, which promotes environmental sustainability — all of which provide consumers with a holistic, good-life experience of the MUJI brand.
