The continuous floral sea in Taipei is even more fun to explore with 3D landscape art

Since winter began, waves of floral displays have been blooming vibrantly across Taipei. The Bailin Left Bank Riverside Floral Sea, woven together by over 50,000 seasonal blooms, has created a stunning flower carpet that will remain in full bloom until the end of January 2016. Weekends are a great time to visit for flower viewing, as well as exploring the wetlands to see migratory birds in winter, making for a relaxing weekend getaway.

The floral sea is located at Bailin Left Bank Riverside Park, right next to the Shizaiball baseball field. It's a newly planned flower viewing spot this year, and its first-ever floral display has amazed many passersby. The floral sea features cold-resistant winter flowers, including purple salvia and yellow cosmos, while red, peach, pink, and white crabapple blossoms also take center stage. The design includes wavy line patterns interspersed with dots of various sizes, showcasing the beauty of vibrant blooms that captivate and enchant visitors.

After enjoying the floral sea, you can also visit Shizaizhou Island, where the wetlands are well worth exploring. At the Toudao Wetland, fiddler crabs can be seen crawling along the tidal flats after the tide recedes. In She Liu Wetland, mudskippers are often spotted — their bulging eyes are quite adorable. The new and old seawall wetlands are ideal for birdwatching, where you might spot herons, sandpipers, and little ringed plovers. Beyond the wetland scenery, the Toudao Park offers beautiful, expansive views, along with 3D landscape art paintings that create lifelike and vivid scenes, attracting many visitors to take photos.
