Kaohsiung Light Rail Experience Upgraded Again！ To meet the demand of a series of festive events along the light rail line such as Christmas, New Year's Eve, and New Year’s Day, the Kaohsiung City Government has specially changed the current trial operation mode (C1~C4) from “stop but no boarding or alighting” to “boarding and alighting allowed,” further enhancing the light rail from just a transport experience.

Wu Yilong, Director of the Metro Engineering Bureau, stated that the adjustments to the light rail trial operation mode are as follows: Passengers can now board and alight at C1 Lizizai Station (at the intersection of Kaisyuan and Yixin Roads), C2 Kaisyuan Ruitian Station (at the intersection of Kaisyuan and Ruitian Street), C3 Qianzhen Star Station (at the intersection of Kaisyuan and Zhongshan Roads), and C4 Kaisyuan Zhonghua Station (at the intersection of Kaisyuan and Zhonghua Roads). Those wishing to ride need only bring an EasyCard to enjoy free rides—no reservation required. Operating hours and frequency remain daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with one train every 30 minutes, the last departure at 6:30 PM, totaling 20 services.

Passengers coming to experience the light rail are reminded to bring their EasyCards to familiarize themselves with the ticketing system—no fare deduction, and you might even win a prize！ Additionally, during the C1～C4 operation period, the light rail mainly shares roads at three intersections: Kaisyuan and Banqiao Intersection, Kaisyuan and Zhongshan Intersection, and Kaisyuan and Zhenxing Intersection. Please pay attention to traffic signs, markings, and signals when crossing these intersections for safety.
