Japan’s cherry blossom season arrives gradually in mid-March, but if you don’t plan to go abroad for hanami, Taiwan actually has many cherry blossom spots that rival those overseas. Within the Aowanda Scenic Area, there are thousands of cherry blossom trees, including pink mountain cherries that kick off the season from late January to early February, followed by vibrant red yaezakura in February, and finally the pure white Wushe cherry blossoms making their grand appearance.
