With the upcoming long holiday, cherry blossoms are now in season at Yangmingshan National Park, Alishan, Aowanda, Wuling Farm, and even the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, which is easily accessible via MRT—making all of them excellent choices for blossom viewing.

● Aowanda
Aowanda in Nantou is home to thousands of cherry trees. Pink mountain cherries kick off the blossom season from late January to early February, followed by bright red double-flowered cherry blossoms in February, and finally the pure white Mt. Yoshino cherry blossoms that steal the show until mid-March. Recently, one of the most stunning cherry blossom sights in Aowanda is the double-flowered cherry blossoms at the Aowanda Sha Yin (No. 2) parking lot, where they bloom in full glory like a massive pink screen—a breathtaking view many netizens call the most beautiful parking lot in Taiwan.

● Yangmingshan National Park
Yangmingshan is now in its floral season, running until March 20th. In addition to peonies in full bloom, there are also thousands of daffodils gradually coming into flower. This year, due to the weather, cherry blossoms have bloomed later, with the mountain cherry season continuing through March. Currently, double-flowered cherry blossoms are also in full bloom.
