Spring is in full swing, marking the liveliest season at the Maokong Camphor Tree Trail. Following the spectacular cosmos blooms along the trail in 2015, the trail management has now sown lupine seeds in the fallow lands along the path. After over three months, the flowers are about to burst into vibrant bloom, resembling strings of golden wind chimes. Don’t miss this chance to head up the mountain and witness the dazzling golden lupine fields. Currently, about 50% of the lupines are in full bloom, and the flowering period will last until the end of March.

To achieve a sustainable balance between ecological conservation and economic development, local tea farmers have been invited to plant lupines along the Camphor Tree Trail each year after the winter tea harvest as a fallow crop. When the flowers are in full bloom, the beautiful interplay of green tea plants and yellow lupines attracts large numbers of visitors.
