Bright yellow all over, laid-back in personality, and absolutely obsessed with human food, the superstar pet “Garfield” is bringing his fun run to Taiwan Up！The “RUN！RUN！GARFIELD” Garfield-themed fun run will kick off with a bang on July 10th at the Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park in Sanchong, New Taipei City. Registration is now open.

The famous American comic “Garfield” captures the pet-as-ruler-of-the-household dynamic, and Garfield’s witty banter with his owner “Jon” and dog “Odie” has made him a household name. Not only does Garfield understand human feelings, but his behavior also closely resembles that of people. The usually lazy feline has recently jumped on the hottest trend—fun runs—and become the star of the event. Even more, he can’t resist the temptation of delicious food and is calling on runners across Taiwan to help him get his lost pizza back as they race toward the finish line of fun.

Garfield’s fun run footprint has stretched from Singapore and Malaysia to mainland China. This summer, he will continue the craze and run alongside his Taiwanese fans, making surprise stops at Taiwan’s scenic spots. Everyone who registers for the “RUN！RUN！GARFIELD” event will receive Garfield-themed giveaways: sweatshirts, sports towels, and drawstring backpacks. Finish the 5-kilometer course and you can take home the finisher’s medal！The organizers have also prepared a variety of bonus raffle prizes, including Garfield-style instant cameras, New Era trendy hats, and fashionable T-shirts, among others...

“RUN！RUN！GARFIELD” invites cat lovers, fitness enthusiasts, and especially Garfield fans to enjoy the fun of running together. The United Daily News Group-hosted “Garfield Fun Run” will start on July 10th at the Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park in Sanchong. The registration fee is NT$990 per person, and group registration is available for two or more participants.
