Collection of Limited-Time Themed Stations on the Kaohsiung MRT

When taking the Kaohsiung MRT in Kaohsiung, besides enjoying fast and convenient transportation, the Kaohsiung MRT also occasionally launches various limited-time themed stations. These allow the public to take photos and check in, turning the stations into new tourist attractions and attracting many people to visit specifically. In addition to admiring the “Dome of Light” public art at Formosa Boulevard Station, don’t forget that there are other uniquely themed stations waiting to be explored.

1. Formosa Boulevard Station – Chibi Maruko-chan Themed Station | Exhibition runs until July 31
In collaboration with the famous Japanese cartoon character Chibi Maruko-chan, the Kaohsiung MRT has created a Chibi Maruko-chan themed station at Formosa Boulevard Station. It classicly recreates the park and shrine scenes from the Chibi Maruko-chan cartoon, making you feel as if you're in the world of the anime. In front of the shrine, there's also an omikuji (fortune-telling) cylinder to evoke the atmosphere of drawing lots in Japan. There’s also a “Chibi Maruko-chan Kaohsiung MRT Kiosk” selling various Chibi Maruko-chan merchandise.
