Taiwan Fun Land: Tourism Bureau estimates 750,000 visitors

This year, 24 theme parks have planned special offers and exciting activities for the Lunar New Year holiday, including discounts for those born in the Year of the Dog, buy-one-get-one-free tickets, “second person free” deals, and free entry for birthday celebrants. Tourism Bureau Deputy Secretary-General Lin Kun-yuan stated that if the weather is favorable, an estimated 750,000 people are expected to visit amusement parks during the Lunar New Year. He hopes the public will plan their trips early and make use of public transportation.

The Tourism Bureau noted that this year, theme parks will continue to support public welfare by offering free or discounted entry to disadvantaged individuals, allowing them to enjoy happy moments. Organizations or groups in need can contact the parks for assistance. The Tourism Bureau will also set up a public welfare spotlight section on the Taiwan Fun Land website, regularly tallying the number of welfare initiatives carried out by the parks, aiming to achieve the “100,000+” dream goal of accommodating over 100,000 disadvantaged visitors.

Among them, Leofoo Village Theme Park has created an Arabian palace celebration called “Sweet Magic Castle – Dessert Carnival.” In line with the winter vacation and Lunar New Year, visitors wearing any red, purple, or yellow tops can enjoy a 40% discount on-site, paying just NT$599 (original price NT$999) for entry.

Janfusun Fancyworld has introduced a thrilling scare train that utilizes AR and holographic projection technology to engage visitors interactively. From now until February 28, discounted tickets are available for just NT$699 (original price NT$899), saving NT$200. Those who enter before February 14 will also receive a limited-edition scare-themed meal on the train.

Additionally, Yunxian Theme Park offers a value-packed one-day tour starting at NT$399 and a double room with two meals from NT$4,500. Yehliu Sea World has a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer and a 10% discount on park purchases. Little People Kingdom Theme Park offers entry for adults, students, and children at NT$499, and toddlers at NT$399. West Lake Resort offers a Year of the Dog discount of NT$250.

The Tourism Bureau has planned public transportation discount schemes where theme parks collaborate with nearby high-speed rail, Taiwan Railways, bus lines, and other public transport options to offer entry discounts. For example, passengers taking Xinzhushan Bus to Little People Kingdom Theme Park can show their bus ticket to purchase entry tickets on-site for a special price of NT$450 (original price NT$799). Those taking Xinzhushan Bus and the Xinzhushan County Government’s Tourism Bus No. 2 to Leofoo Village Theme Park can obtain a ticket voucher from the driver to enjoy a 40% discount on Leofoo tickets, paying only NT$599.
