The Lunar New Year is just around the corner, and classic traditional Chinese New Year dishes remain a favorite for most people. AGORA Chinese Restaurant at Mandarin Oriental, Taipei, renowned for its elegant ambiance and luxurious, refined Chinese cuisine, will present a New Year’s Eve hotpot feast and a Spring Festival celebration menu from New Year’s Eve to the first three days of the New Year (February 15 to February 18). Executive Chef Tse Man, with nearly 50 years of culinary experience and masterful skills, has carefully selected premium ingredients such as abalone, lobster, bird’s nest, grouper, and snow frog to create rich and flavorful New Year’s Eve hotpot and Spring Festival menus. In addition, limited-edition rice cake gift boxes and AGORA X.O. Sauce Gift Boxes will also go on sale from now until February 20.
Not only will guests enjoy a sumptuous meal, but the hotel will also host a New Year celebration event at 10:30 a.m. on the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year (February 16) in front of the hotel lobby. The program includes the majestic “Divine Drum Soaring to the Heavens” drum performance and the “Lucky Lion Bringing Auspiciousness” lion dance. A variety of fun and engaging folk activities will also be available on-site, such as writing Spring Festival couplets, painting folding fans, making dough figurines, and crafting sugar art. There will also be traditional-style cotton candy and heartwarming, warming longan tea served, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the lively festive atmosphere and celebrate the New Year in joyful spirits.
