First Look at the Fireworks, Music, and Animation for Dadaocheng’s Spectacular Show

The highlight of Taipei Riverside Music Festival — “Dadaocheng Lover’s Day” — will be held grandly from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM on August 6th at Yanping Riverside Park and around Dadaocheng Wharf. In addition to a creative market, retro stalls, and a food area, the stage area will feature stunning performances by heavyweight artists such as Chen f, Chairman Band, and Matthew Lien. The most anticipated 10-minute fireworks show will light up the sky at 8:00 PM, combining music with rock and electronic dance tracks for the first time.

This year’s fireworks and music event breaks away from the classical music focus of previous years, featuring movie soundtracks and electronic remixes of classic love songs such as “Eros,” “The Moon Represents My Heart,” and more. It concludes perfectly with Wu Bai & China Blue’s hit “You Are My Flower,” accompanied by Taiwan’s first-ever “rose” fireworks display.

Starting at 6:30 PM on the day of the event, phased traffic controls will be implemented on roads around Dadaocheng Wharf. The controlled area stretches south to Zhongxiao West Road, north to Liangzhou Street, east to Yanping North Road–Tacheng Street, and west to the Ring River South and North Roads (including the roads themselves). Vehicles traveling eastbound on the Civic Freeway will not be allowed to exit at the Ring North Road interchange; from 8:20 PM to 9:30 PM, a control point will be set up at the intersection of Chengde Road and Minsheng West Road, prohibiting westbound traffic.

Regarding the event venue, starting at 6:00 AM on August 6th, vehicles will only be allowed to exit — not enter — through the exits of Water Gates No. 3 and No. 5. Bicycle crossing and riding will also be prohibited in the event area during the same time period. From 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM, vehicle access will be further restricted.
