A single bite brings happiness—the limited-edition strawberry toast box from Tainan handmade bakery

Fatty set out early again in search of strawberries. Usually late for work every day, I actually left home early just to buy breakfast—how irresistible food can be, huh XD? When I saw this season-limited strawberry toast box on the shop’s Facebook page, it made my heart and taste buds itch—I just had to try it!! Come see where you can get it~

You’ve probably tried Toast Box by Zi before, right?! Fatty tried it for the first time. Some flavors are regulars, but they’re also constantly rolling out new ones to add more variety.

Morning sessions: Tuesdays–Thursdays, 06:00–09:30. Vendors are at Chongshan Road & Deguang Street intersection on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, and temporarily at Nangmen Road & Jiankang Road intersection on Thursdays. There are also afternoon sessions!! Afternoons 16:00–20:00 at No. 187 Chongshan Road (under the arcade of Qianxiang Burger). Fatty lives closer to the Thursday morning spot, so I got up early to dash over.

Check out the toast box flavors—they come sweet or savory, your pick, including a limited-edition strawberry cheese flavor. Strawberry cheese can be pre-ordered; only 10 spots available each morning with a specified pickup time, and the rest are first-come-first-served. Afternoon sessions also have 10 pre-order slots, but you’ll need to wait on-site. So if you want to try it, pre-order now. We suggest waiting till pickup because pre-making may cause the strawberries to release juice and turn mushy, affecting texture. That’s why on-site wait is needed~

Handmade Brownie $40Haha, can you even tell this dark thing is a brownie? But it’s actually quite stuffed inside~ Paired with blueberry jam, it’s not too sweet when you take a bite. The brownie has a slightly bitter and fragrant taste that complements the blueberry jam perfectly—it’s a bit tangy and the toast edges are a little crispy. Eat it while warm and it feels like it might burst with filling.

Strawberry Cheese $50This is it!! The toast box stuffed with fresh strawberries—doesn’t it look tempting?! Bite into the crispy toast, and inside there are fresh strawberries paired with strawberry sauce and cheese, bursting with that strawberry tangy-sweetness. It’s so happy-making~ The sweetness level isn’t high either. We recommend eating it as soon as you get it, otherwise the strawberries might release water. Also, the whipped cream cheese part can be swapped for chocolate!! Oh—why didn’t I notice that earlier, I’m not having it, I’m not having it~

Earl Grey Milk Tea $25Toast + milk tea gets you a $5 discount. The Earl Grey milk tea isn’t too sweet and has a rich tea aroma—I think it’s really good.

Friends interested in the strawberry cheese should definitely give it a try Up~ And if you didn’t get the strawberry one, check out the other flavors too~ I think the brownie one is pretty tasty, and the toast boxes make great breakfast or snacks. All I can say is the toast is super versatile—it goes well with everything~
