The heavyweight literary hotspot, Tsutaya Bookstore, is confirmed to open in Taipei

The Tsutaya Bookstore first gained recognition among Taiwanese tourists when it opened in Daikanyama in the winter of 2011. It is a large-scale, multi-concept bookstore that combines books, movies, music, and other lifestyle themes favored by young people. Since its opening, it has not only become a highlight of Daikanyama but also attracted numerous domestic and international visitors, even being named one of the world’s 20 most beautiful bookstores.
In Taiwan, the Tsutaya Bookstore operates recruitment under the name “Taiwan Daily Card Marketing Co., Ltd.” The Taipei branch will also adopt the same “BOOK & CAFE” business model as in Japan. The CCC Group, which owns Tsutaya Bookstore, runs the T-Point loyalty program with 60 million members in Japan. Upon entering the Taiwanese market, it has partnered with Happy GO to enhance the benefits of membership and point systems. Once the Tsutaya Bookstore opens in Taipei, it is expected to become a new cultural and leisure destination in the city.
