Taipei welcomes a brand-new hotel opening in the city center. Following the launch of Banqiao Caesar Park Hotel and Taipei Qutao Mingle Hotel in New Taipei City last month, the Caesar Hotel Group is now debuting its latest property, “ARTREE ArTree International Hotel,” located on Bade Road within the Taipei Arena business district. This marks the group's first design-focused hotel brand tailored specifically for high-end independent travelers from Asia, joining its existing portfolio that includes “Caesar,” “Caesar Park,” and “Qutao Mingle.” As the newest addition to Taipei’s hospitality scene in 2018, how this new brand will differentiate itself from other properties under the Caesar Hotel Group is a key point of interest for both industry peers and consumers.
The standout feature of ArTree International Hotel is that guests can enjoy an onsen experience “right in the heart of the city” without having to travel to Shamao Mountain, Yangmingshan, Beitou, or Wulai. In addition to 139 guest rooms and a forest-themed restaurant, the hotel has also created three private white sulfur hot spring rooms. These onsen facilities use modern technology to replicate the quality of natural hot springs found in areas like Yangmingshan or Beitou. Each 90-minute session is priced at NT$2,200 + 10%, and the rooms are available by reservation only. The hotel has also partnered with “Orange Blossom Dream Red” to offer stress-relief programs aimed at rejuvenating the body and mind of urban travelers.
For its first year of operation, ArTree International Hotel has set an average annual room rate target of NT$5,000 and an occupancy rate goal of 80%. Wan Yubai, the hotel’s general manager, revealed that during the trial operation period, the average occupancy rate already reached 40%, with monthly average room rates ranging between NT$4,500 and NT$5,000. As such, the hotel is confident about its performance in the coming year.
With 139 guest rooms starting from 11 pyeong, ArTree International Hotel emphasizes two core elements: “original design” and “art.” The entire property is themed around the “art of trees,” and its five themed leisure rooms are designed using stone, wood, and rattan as key motifs. Contemporary designer Kenneth Cobonpue pieces and original Classical Geometry furniture are integrated throughout, creating a relaxing forest ambiance in the city that encourages guests to slow down and unwind. The richly vegetated spaces enhance the visual experience, offering a serene urban escape.
The hotel also features a jungle-themed restaurant called “ArTree Private Kitchen” and the “Original Stone VIP Lounge,” where menus focus on classic Cantonese cuisine fused with Caesar family-style dining. The venue can also be reserved for corporate events and various themed activities. Starting January 23rd, the hotel will begin offering an afternoon tea set priced from NT$268 + 10% per person, available in limited quantities daily.
Wan Yubai stated that the primary target customer base for ArTree International Hotel includes international business travelers and tourists from Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, and Korea, supplemented by guests from Europe and the Americas. During the trial operation period, 50% of guests were domestic travelers, 40% were from Asia including Hong Kong and Macau, and 10% were from Europe and America.
To celebrate the official opening, ArTree International Hotel is launching a special stay package on its official website from now until the end of February titled “Travel with Fragrance, Savor Leisurely Moments.” Priced from NT$4,900 + 10% per room, the package includes a 11 pyeong Deluxe Double Room featuring an American Simmons bed, original design furnishings, a HANDY PHONE smartphone, a mini bar, and welcome fruit. Guests also enjoy access to a 24-hour complimentary light snack lounge and a well-equipped gym.
