Enchanted Forest Cabins – Taiwan’s Eight Scenic Spots & Secret Cherry Blossom Havens

Spring is the season when flowers bloom in full splendor, and the cherry blossom season is in full swing. In recent years, the cherry blossom craze has been growing year by year, with secret cherry blossom spots being discovered all over Taiwan. Eight Immortals Mountain, hailed as one of Taiwan’s Eight Scenic Spots during the Japanese colonial period, is as renowned as Sun Moon Lake and Alishan, and is also one of Taiwan’s three major forest areas. The Eight Immortals Mountain Forest Recreation Area is currently in peak cherry blossom season, making it the best secret spot for cherry blossom viewing in central Taiwan. The park is home to about 1,000 mountain cherry trees, and apart from cherry blossoms, peach and plum blossoms are also in full bloom, transforming Eight Immortals Mountain into what seems like a paradise straight out of Tao Yuanming’s writings.

Aside from flower viewing, you can also soak in hot springs in the nearby Guanguan area. The park also features charming cabins that serve as both accommodations and restaurants.
