Taiwan’s only overwater stilt house — the newest IG hotspot

Situated in Tainan City, Taijiang National Park is Taiwan’s eighth national park. Thanks to its distinctive geographical ecology and location, Taijiang has fostered world-class wetlands and rich biodiversity. To fulfill the demands of recreation, conservation research, and management, the Taijiang National Park Headquarters constructed Taiwan’s first visitor center built on stilts over water. Its unique structure was even recognized as the first diamond-rated green building among southern administrative agencies. Combined with the area’s inherent ecological habitat features and integrated with daily living functions, it has become a highly meaningful and distinctive landscape architecture. Breaking away from conventional visitor centers, this all-white stilt house, floating structure, and checkered flooring have drawn numerous netizens to take photos and check in, making it a new iconic attraction.
