The Eiffel Tower upgrade plan will be temporarily closed for 15 years

The Eiffel Tower in Paris is a world-famous tourist attraction and one of the must-visit sites for travelers to Paris. Its classic symmetrical steel design, which protects against strong winds, combines practicality with beauty, and at night, it looks especially romantic under the lights. However, after France experienced several terrorist attacks in recent years, the French authorities, in an effort to enhance security, plan to build a 2.5-meter-high bulletproof glass curtain around the tower.

In addition, over the next 15 years, €300 million will be invested to upgrade the tower’s exterior and facilities, improve safety for visitors waiting in rain or snow, and redesign the queuing routes to reduce waiting times.
