Vast fields of brilliant yellow calla lilies bloom in a dazzling sea of flowers—free to enjoy.

Aside from the white calla lily season at Yangmingshan’s Zhuzihu and the colorful calla lily season in Taoyuan, there’s also the yellow calla lily fields in Waipu, known as “Taichung’s Zhuzihu,” where you can admire equally stunning floral beauty. Near Shuitou 1st and 2nd Roads at No. 38 Jiuhou Road in Waipu, there is a roughly 600-ping yellow calla lily field. A local flower farmer in Taichung has successfully cultivated yellow calla lilies, attracting large numbers of visitors daily during the blooming season to take photos, and the site is open to the public for free.

The commonly seen white calla lilies in Zhuzihu are wetland varieties, whereas those in Waipu are land-growing, colorful yellow calla lilies. Although the Waipu calla lily fields may not be as spectacular as Yangmingshan’s Zhuzihu, they bloom just as vibrantly and are even more dazzling under the sunlight.
