The Golden Needle Flower Season in Taimali Begins: Three Key Traffic Control Measures

Every year from August to October, the most important floral event is the blooming of the golden needle flower fields. Among them, the leisure farms in Taimali District, which are the most popular spots for viewing the flowers, draw large crowds. The 2017 Taimali Golden Needle Flower Season will kick off on July 29. To manage the large influx of visitors during the flower season and in response to last year’s severe rainstorms and wind disasters that caused the interruption of the one-way mountain road to Wangyou Valley, specific traffic control measures have been established to ensure road safety on Golden Needle Mountain.

The traffic control period runs from July 24, 2017 to September 8, 2017.
 
1. Class A large buses are prohibited from traveling on the entire road.
2. The one-way scenic route above Huan Shan Ya Zhu (approximately at the 15.5 km mark) remains closed due to last year’s wind and rain disaster. Please follow directional signs.
3. Vehicles are not allowed beyond the 2017 Golden Needle Flower Season parking lot entrance (at Zhongzheng Hall Parking Area, approximately at the 16.2 km mark) up to Shuangru Peak.
 
※ During the traffic control period, a paid shuttle bus service will be available between Zhongzheng Hall and Shuangru Peak from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
