Newly illuminated painted attraction becomes a popular IG spot with a colorful LED bridge

The red, striking arched steel bridge structure at Hualien Port combines with the Venus Art Gallery, injecting new vitality into the harbor and turning into a hot IG photo spot. In recent years, Taiwan’s ports authority has been developing the Hualien Port waterfront recreational area. In addition to completing various key public facility renovations within the recreation zone, this year they have planned the “Hualien Port Landscape Bridge Renovation Project.” The project includes painting ocean-themed totems on the bridge body and pillars, and to enhance the nighttime maritime ambiance, specially designed colorful LED light sculptures will be installed on the bridge.

The Hualien Port Branch has allocated a budget of NT$24 million for the “Hualien Port Landscape Bridge Renovation Project.” In addition to adding paintings and creating nighttime LED light sculptures, the bridge’s walkway surface will also be changed from steel plates to wood-like materials to improve visitor comfort.

The open space connecting the old warehouse and the bridge has also been specially enhanced with landscape and art installations, including additional pedestrian pathways and nighttime lighting. Once completed, it will successfully create a new relaxing atmosphere in the Hualien Port recreation area.
