To celebrate the romantic Qixi Festival, Hutoupi specially held the “Romantic Tour of Hutoupi” event on the Sunday before Qixi, August 27, 2017. The first dock extended its operating hours until 9 PM to offer visitors a romantic nighttime pedal boat experience. Starting at 9 AM on the day of the event, any couple dressed in couple outfits who hugged and took a photo in front of the Couple Trees and uploaded it to Facebook for a check-in would receive one set of a love amulet incense bag and a happiness keychain (limited to 50 sets, while supplies last). Additionally, from August 27 to 28, those with a couple hugging photo could enjoy a 40% discount on pedal boats.

The Tiger Moon Suspension Bridge, which appeared in Jay Chou’s self-directed and self-acted movie “Kung Fu Dunker,” is not only where the male and female leads pledged their love but also a new love bridge in Xinhua that has witnessed countless romances. This over 80-year-old Tiger Moon Suspension Bridge is said to bless any couple who holds hands and walks across it together with a lifetime of happiness. At night, the lights of the Tiger Moon Suspension Bridge reflect beautifully on the lake surface alongside the starlight.
